With unprecedented access to a closed community, Father’s House reveals the inner workings of the Danish charismatic Christian sect Father’s House – a world of exorcism, speaking in tongues and militant Christianity. Three former members who once stood at the very heart of the community invite us into its inner circle through their testimonies. In collaboration with some of Denmark’s most internationally acclaimed actors, including Trine Dyrholm, David Dencik and Emma Sehested Høeg, they show us how the guru, God and group dynamics radicalised them and held them in a manipulative grip that caused them to surrender control of their thoughts, finances and actions.
